Matt McClellan -Dean's Assistant
What do you do at Arts & Humanities?
I'm a Dean's Assistant, Student Assistant Lead, and Dore Theatre scheduler. I work with the Dean on day-to-day activities, help the office as needed, schedule appointments, and manage student assistants.
Where did you go to college and what was your major or field of study?
Pennsylvania State University with a BS in Human Development and Family Studies. My focus was on Child Development with a minor in Sociology. I am currently working on a Masters in Public Administration at CSUB.
What are the most rewarding aspects of your job?
Mentoring students and developing work skills.
Do you have any words of advice for our students?
Work hard and learn as much as you can. Try to avoid loans! They add up quickly!
Where is your favorite place to eat?
A restaurant called Spatz in Pennsylvania. Amazing food!
If you could visit any country in the world, where would you go?
Australia or Egypt. Both have beautiful things to see and do!
What is your favorite book or movie?
Movie: PS I Love You
Book: I don't have one, but just read Love, Ellen by Betty DeGeneres. Great book.
What is your favorite season?
What famous person (living or dead) would you like to meet?
What do you like to do for fun?
Photography, hiking, beach, and traveling.
What drives you crazy?
Being tardy. I hate it. If I am on time, I already feel late!
What special talent do you have?
I can be SUPER organized. I like things in a certain order....neat and tidy.
