“The George” award recipient is announced:
Congratulations, Saige White of the CSUB 2016 graduating class!
Guest Adjudicator, Lauren Mackler, has selected senior Saige White’s video work Civil Rights as her pick for the 2016 “The George” award. White’s piece was selected from among 25 art majors’ work exhibited in the Art 491 Senior Project and Exhibition II culminating exhibition titled Prelude at the Todd Madigan Gallery.
“Lauren was very impressed the commitment evident in the works and selecting this years’ winner was a difficult choice”, said Gallery Director and Curator Jedediah Caesar. “Honorable mentions go to Sheela Lewis, Clarisse Lopez and Fareedah Salahud-din, and congratulations to all the students for a great show.”
